A weekend where Spanish flavor conquered Switzerland
On June 14th and 15th, Chef Che Corrado took part in the EspañOlé Street Food Festival, held at the lively Zeughausareal venue in the heart of Zurich. Organized by AGES (Asociación Gastronómica Española en Suiza), the festival brought together thousands of people eager to taste and celebrate Spanish cuisine in its most authentic form.
This edition marked a milestone for the event: it featured the first Tapas Competition organized by EspañOlé, coinciding with World Tapas Day. Chef Che Corrado was invited to participate in the competition alongside the team from Iberia Tapas Zürich, offering a culinary experience centered on bocadillos, pinchos, and a beer stand sponsored by Estrella Galicia.
The result was a complete success: the jury awarded 2nd place for Best Tapa 2025.
The dish presented by Miguel, Head Chef of Iberia Tapas, in collaboration with Chef Corrado — an exquisite bao filled with pork cheek, caramelized onion, and crispy pork skin.
A bold fusion of textures and tradition that surprised and delighted both locals and international visitors.

A Real Connection with the Audience
The festival was much more than gastronomy: it was a space for encounter, dialogue, and celebration. The Iberia Tapas space became a point of reference, a pleasant, fun moment where authentic flavors, ideas, and values were shared, accompanied by live music to the rhythm of Spanish cuisine.
A Cuisine with a Purpose
Beyond the competition, Chef Corrado showcased his signature style and deep commitment to sustainable and conscious gastronomy. He spoke about his project, a CO₂ capture system: an innovative and environmentally friendly approach.
