Mobile electric kitchen with producing CO2 system in hinwill captured by climeworks.
CUINA PETITA is a project by E-FOOD LAB with the vision of achieving an ideal place where a chef can cook with satisfaction and at the same time his cooking activity is:
1) sustainable and energy efficient, through a “heat” and “light” capture system that has the same energy yields as a traditional kitchen, but reducing the general energy expenditure for the cooking activity;
2) that has a neutral impact on the emission of CO₂ gas, through a CO₂ capture system.
My idea of “on the go” cooking is based on these four points:
1) FIRE: most cooking processes rely on the power of fire to cook directly (“oven” function), to store heat for other kitchen appliances (“combustion chamber” function); I present a system that can offer both functions in a single system, fueled by coal.
2) WATER: water, thanks to its properties, has many uses in the kitchen, but it is one of the natural elements that is scarce; My proposal is to re-use the water with a Bypass system (or Return system) for cleaning function, and for cooking at low and constant temperature like sous-vide.
3) LIGHT: stored electrical energy is the cleanest source of energy that exists and with it, we can also move vehicles. The mobility of the future will be electric (E-Mobility), which is why my project is based on an electric traction chassis.
4) AIR: the air quality is worrying. Every kitchen is a potential source of CO₂ and we are all called to contribute to reducing the CO₂ footprint, as required by the Kyoto Protocol and the Paris Agreement. My mobile kitchen proposal is to create a CO₂ capture unit to reduce the impact of our activities.
